Pyrimidine 5-Nucleotidase Superactivity

Pyrimidine 5-Nucleotidase Superactivity

Pyrimidine 5'nucleotidase superactivity leads to increased catabolic activity and reduced pyrimidine salvage, which causes a deficiency of pyrimidine nucleotides. Clinically patients exhibit developmental delay, seizures, ataxia, recurrent infections, severe language deficit and behavioural problems.
